It's been a while...

Yes it has. And I haven't been completely lazy, just had a couple of projects I couldn't blog about til after the event!

Over the last few months I picked up a project making rock 'n' roll competition dresses for two lovely ladies, Elissa and Jodi. Both worn at the nationals this year, both girls placed in the best dressed competition (woop woop!) and also the dancing part as well. I really enjoyed making these! Cute, very original 50's styled dresses with matching bolero jackets...

First up Elissa's dress. A halterneck style with full circle skirt, and matching bolero jacket. The jacket is fully reversable too.

And here's jodie's dress. Similar to a style I had done before, but using net on the gathered bodice so you could still see the pattern through. Once again matching jacket which is fully reversable.

Well done girls (and partners!). I will try to update the blog a little more regularly now life has slowed down a little, more treats to come soon!

If you like anything you see on the blog, flick me an email to and we can discuss details xoxo

Date night dress

I love playing with textures, and this dress has so many I totally love it. Satin, lace and a little velvet trim. The perfect dress for an amazing night out, right Cheryl? Hopefully it makes it to singapore for the big night!

I think I'm gonna need one of these myself.

If there is anything you see on my blog here you would like for yourself, I do custom make to order. Please flick me an email to with your ideas and I can let you know details! x

Spotty for summer

A little vany and white spot strapless number for Ginnie. The first of about 5 frocks I hope to have done in the next week!

May favourite part? Definately the little kick pleats with bow detail at the front.
As always, if you see anything you like on the blog, or have an idea of your own for a dress, I do custom make to order. Email me for inquiries!

Something a little warmer for winter

I'm not gonna lie, summer is my favourite season. Winter just doesn't seem as inspiring, but I decided to give something different a go. Michelle challenged me to create her something for the winter season, and here it is...

3/4 sleeve with a swing style skirt and self-tie belt. Would look cute with a belt in brown or maroon though too I think.

Still needs buttons in the front, and thinking perhaps a couple of little ones on the sleeves too. Or bows in maroon, they always go down a treat :)

As always, if you're ever after something for yourself send me an email

Cherries galore and vintage floral shirt

This weeks creations. First a dress for myself out of the ginham with cherries fabric I post about last week. Just a simple strapless number, with a little tulle underneath to make it nice and poofy...

And the second is a wide collared shirt for Emma out of some vintage floral fabric she sent me. Can't wait to see how this one looks on! It just needs it's buttons Emma then I shall post it out to you.

Hopefully some more photos of other creations to come tomorrow :)

Blue belle

Another frock for my biggest fan Emma (sheesh your wardrobe must be looking a little indentical to mine by now!)

The bow on the front is on a brooch so you can wear with or without...

Will post it out tomorrow Emma!

Also found this AMAZING fabric at spotlight today, what a gem!

They also had it with a plain white or plain black background. If you are interested in something in this fabric let me know and I'll go get some more! Get in quick, I would say this is gonna sell out pretty fast.

Wrap dresses for the super-mum

A couple of wrap dresses requested by the awesomely talented Katie Hansen...

The first a floral green number (as requested, without no stinkin' collar)...

And the second I got a little wild on and put a lilac border round the bottom...

I feel you should bake cupcakes and cookies in this dress :)

As usual, if you're after a special frock for yourself, email me!

Amandas dress

Seriously, dresses look so much better on people than they do on my mannequin. So if you are considering sending photos of you wearing my frocks, please do it! I love it and you look fabulous, I promise!

Here's Amanda in her wonderful party dress...

You look amazeballs. Thanks so much for sending photos!

Leopard and lace

Not in the same dress! Here's a couple of projects I got finished this weekend. The first was this little leopard and black number for Natalia...

There's one coming your way too Jennie with halter straps :)

Also finished this 1920's style frock for my cousin. A little bit different from my usual 50's tea party style, but I do like new challenges...

Same as always, if you are interested in anything you see on the blog, or have a few ideas of your own feel free to send me an email

Polka dotty goodness...

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find fabric for this little number. Apparently red with white polka dots is the most sought after colour! Anyway (four spotlight stores later...) here is your dress Amanda! I will pop it in the post Monday.

All it needs is a little white belt and cute petticoat to finish it off.

Remember as always, if you would like anything for yourself email me! Dancing has chilled out a little bit now so I have 10% more free time and would love to fill it up making pretty dresses for y'all!

P.S: If you too are on the hunt for red-with-white-polka-dot fabric, spotlight Sylvia Park is where it's at.

Just for fun

A little project I have been meaning to try out for a while... this one's for you Helen Clarke!

It's a paw......

And another paw....

Some ears...

And a tail!...

Hahaha it's a giant cat onesie!

Some more real dresses on the way soon :)

Rockabilly goodness

The fabric I ordered online a couple weeks ago finally made into a frock. A lil cap-sleeve number with swing skirt, and detachable bow...

The fabric was ordered off J & O Fabrics. They have a really awesome range of different prints, and it doesn't work out too expensive either. I am happy to order if you are interested in having a dress made in any of the fabrics on their website.

Remember, if you see something you like on the blog or have an idea in mind give me an email ( and we can discuss details!
