Wow! I can't believe we are at week 5 already! that means next week is halfway (and only 7 weeks til christmas eep!)
If you are new to this game, all you need to now can be found here, otherwise here is this weeks fabric...
It's chiffon, black with white polka dots. Being chiffon, it is a little see through so you need to imagine the following designs with a plain black slip underneath (don't worry, slip will be included with the dress)
And here's the designs to choose from...
1: Boat neck with bows at the shoulders
The bows won't actually be that big, or stick up that much. Fitted bodice, swing style skirt. You may have also noticed to save time (and coloured pencil) I have drawn the fabric the other way round, white with black polka dots. You may have to use your imagination a little for these ones.
2. Sleeveless with black satin collar and buttons
Sort of like the picnic dress but with a rounded collar, and buttons only halfway down the front. Gathered skirt this time.
and 3. Boat neck with cap sleeve and contrast binding
Pretty much just like the picture. I drew the contrast binding in red (thought it might look cool) but could go with any other colour you like. Swing skirt on this one.
So there we have it, week 5 underway. Remember, first person to email me at jennamclachlan@hotmail.com with which design they like can have it made up to their measurements for only $45. Remember on this one, black satin slip included (double bargain haha)
So go get emailing!

A quick update
Just a quick look at week 4's progress. There's no lining in the skirt yet (will make it a tad bit poofier when in) and a little bit shorter too. Loving that leopard chiffon though!

A dress a week til Christmas - Week 4
Welcome to week 4 of the project! To find out how things work, click here. Otherwise, here's this weeks bounty...
A leopard print chiffon, and black thick matte satin. For all of the following designs the chiffon is for the skirt part and the satin for the top half.
1. Strapless sweetheart neckline with full skirt
Pretty much self explanatory, bodice will be boned, skirt fully lined.
2. Sleeveless racer-back style, full skirt
A nice clean style, easy to wear. Cuts in at the back a little (not heaps) in the style of a racer back singlet.
And...
3. Boat neck with cut out back and bow detail
I made a dress sort of like this for Ange to wear when she hosted Quake Appreance. High neck in the front that sits wide on the shoulders, keyhole in the back with a bow at the top.
So there it is, weeks 4's designs. First person to email me (jennamclachlan@hotmail.com) with which style they would like can have it made up to their measurements for only $45. I have a feeling this one's going to go quick, I know how much you all love the leopard!

Better late than never!
Welcome to week 3 of a dress a week til christmas! yaaaaaaaay! sorry a little late, got a bit carried away eating bannoffie pie. It was good pie.
Anyway, down to business. If you don't know the rules of the game, you can check them out here.
The fabric this week is a 100% cotton check pattern in peach and yellow:
No stretch, but nice and lightweight. Good for hot summer days. You can see the colour in this second photo a bit better...
Pretty. And here are this weeks designs to choose from! Sorry about the stink sketches this week, was having a drawing-fail.
1. The picnic dress, updated
Much like this dress here, but without the contrast fabric and only buttons on the top half. Full skirt, above knee length.
2. Fitted bodice with shoulder ties
I actually had a dress like this that served me very well. A little gather detail under bust, skirt sits a little more towards the hips than on the waist, and shoulder ties.
3. Like the crop bustier top, but with a skirt
Much like the top here, but with a skirt. The skirt part will sit a little higher than normal, not quite under bust but not quite waist either.
Okay thats it! first person to email me (jennamclachlan@hotmail.com) with which design they like can have it made up to their measurements for only $45! Go! Do it!
P.S: photos of last weeks dress are coming, probably later on this evening after the rugby :)

A dress a week til Christmas - Week 2
I'm excited for this week. A little different to last week, this weeks fabric is a little darker and the designs a little more hot-stuff (a little less tea party)
To find out how this works, check out this post here otherwise lets get going. Here's this weeks fabric:
It's a stretch cotton sateen (super stretchy, quite thick, has a little bit of sheen to it). The flowers look a little brighter here than what they do in real life. More of a cerise colour I would call it.
And here's the designs...
1: Strapless wiggle dress with black edging
Pretty self explanatory, Black satin edging around the top, little black bow at the back.
2: Jennie's dress, but fitted
Check out jennies dress here, the same but different.
and 3: Cap sleeve with collar
The picture really tells it all.
OKAY! so you know the rules, first person to email me (jennamclachlan@hotmail.com) with which style they would like can have it made up to their own measurements for only $45.
Can't wait to see which one you choose!
P.S: all of these styles are below the knee length, but if you really would like it, I can do them a bit shorter a.k.a above the knee too :)

Week 1 dress complete!
The finished product from last weeks design...
Exciting! I really want to keep it for myself, but the whole idea of this was to expand YOUR wardrobes not mine!
Check back at 6pm for this weeks sketches. I just picked up the fabric before and it's super hot, gonna be a foxy number this week I think...
P.S: I will actually post it at 6pm this week just to make it fair, get your emailing fingers ready :)
